Specialty Exams are designed to measure the ability of each student to apply concepts related to specific clinical nursing content areas. These tests can be administered throughout the nursing curriculum or as final exams, and consist of 50 scored items plus 5 pilot items.

There are a number of exams available in parallel versions, making student re-testing as reliable as the original test! The parallel exam versions are written to the same test blueprint, but offer different questions, so you can be sure that students can apply the information rather than memorize test items.

An institutional student aggregate summary is prepared for every school that administers a Specialty Exam. This results reporting includes a breakdown of your class or test aggregate's scores in the following categories:

• Nursing Process Step
• Accreditation criteria of the NLNAC and AACN

Each summary report also includes an item-by-item topic comparison between your class or group's percentage correct and the national norm group. Summary results can also be exported to work within a spreadsheet or database application by utilizing a basic data export, allowing you to utilize all results for the accreditation review process.
