Evolve Reach

Since its' founding in 1880, Elsevier has evolved from a small Dutch publishing house devoted to the promulgation of classical scholarship to an international multimedia publishing company that currently provides over 20,000 titles and products to science and healthcare communities worldwide. The company achieved dramatic growth with its' acquisition of Harcourt, including an educational publishing group with a long and rich medical publishing heritage, courtesy of imprints like Mosby, Saunders, and Churchill Livingstone.

The Elsevier acquisition of Health Education Systems, Inc. (HESI) in January of 2006 provides a significant product line enhancement by incorporating the leading provider of exams that predict how students will perform on the NCLEX examination with the market leading textbooks in nursing education. With its field-tested exams, HESI has been providing the tools to measure student progress throughout the nursing curriculum since 1999.
