Unique interactive exercises, such as case studies, image evaluations, matching, multiple choice with rationales, labeling and short answer questions, reinforce learning in varied ways. Anatomy and pathology reviews offer a series of self-assessment labeling exercises to be completed after reading the related content in the text to test knowledge and determine readiness to proceed in the module. Image evaluations provide radiographic images showing positioning and technical errors and include review questions for further discussion. Exams for every module identify strengths and weaknesses and are automatically scored and saved to the instructor’s gradebook. A glossary defines key terms in modules, provides definitions used in radiography, and is easily accessed from each module. Image enlargement allows for better visualization of more details in radiographs and heavily labeled illustrations. Animations and slide shows demonstrate positioning procedures and convey difficult concepts. Clinical situations simulate situations encountered in the clinical environment and include a scenario followed by questions. Students can compare their answers to detailed rationales. Self-assessment quizzes help students determine strengths and weaknesses before taking the module exam.
Updated photographs visually demonstrate the latest digital technology used in radiography with new radiographs, positioning, and equipment images. Reflects the latest ARRT competencies and ASRT curriculum guidelines to prepare students for boards and clinical practice. Includes new information on the Bernageau and Brewerton projections. Information on Bone age study and suspected child abuse added to the Pediatric Radiology module. Information on nonvascular procedures added to the Angiography and Interventional Procedures module.
