Loren Nell Melton Stein, MSN, RNC-NIC, received her BSN from Duke University and began her clinical experience at Duke Medical Center in the Neonatal Step-Down and Pediatric Intensive Care Units. She continued her clinical practice in NICUs, clinical management, maternal/newborn, and disaster nursing. She completed her MSN from Marymount University in Virginia and taught undergraduate students for 30 years. She has more than two decades of experience teaching clinical skills and has contributed to clinical skills and pediatric textbooks.
