Carolyn is a nursing education specialist at Elsevier, with 20 years of teaching experience in university BSN and community college ADN programs. She has extensive experience in curriculum development and revision, program evaluation and accreditation, online course development, instructional technology, testing and evaluation, and teaching-learning strategies based on research and sound educational principles to improve student learning. Her special area of interest is identifying factors that create challenges for nursing faculty to effectively incorporate instructional technology into their face-to-face and online classroom, lab, and clinical environments and ways to alleviate those factors.
Her nursing experience includes clinical informatics, medical-surgical, orthopedics, OB, community health, and primary care. She is a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Certified Nurse Educator through the National League for Nursing.
