Dr. Nikole Hicks, PhD, RNC, CNE has 35 years of experience in nursing. She holds a BSN from the University of Iowa, MSN from University of Phoenix, and PhD from University of Northern Colorado. She has a broad base of experience in academic nursing education spanning over 25 years, including all levels of pre-licensure and graduate programs in hospital-based, community college, and university settings, both public and private. She has been active in national and state professional organizations and serves on several boards. She has published and presented on test development/item writing, active learning, and online nursing education and is passionate about protecting the health of the public by providing high-quality academic nursing education. Dr. Hicks joined Northern Oklahoma College as the Nursing Division Chair in 2020. She and her husband live in Oklahoma and have 5 grown children and 9 grandchildren.
