Dr. Christine Gouveia is currently a Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania and a Consultant for Clinical Solutions at Elsevier.
Previously, she served as Vice President of Applied Learning Sciences at Elsevier, where she led research initiatives examining the effectiveness and impact of the company’s digital solutions.
With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Gouveia has dedicated her career to improving educational outcomes across PreK-12 and higher education through leadership roles in various industry settings. Throughout her career, she has applied academic research and evidence-based learning strategies to educational products, programs, and services. Her research focuses on the social, emotional, and cognitive aspects of effective teaching and learning in online environments.
Dr. Gouveia has a Ph.D. and M.A. in Educational Psychology & Cognitive Science from Cornell University and an M.S. in Developmental Psychology from Columbia University.
