Nationally recognized as an expert in nursing education and medical-surgical/gerontological nursing, “Iggy” has a wealth of experience in education, clinical nursing, and administration. She has taught in PN, diploma, AD, and BSN programs for many years. She is also the author of the leading textbook, Medical-Surgical Nursing: Concepts for Interprofessional Collaborative Care, 9th Edition.

Currently, Iggy is President of DI Associates, Inc. in which she conducts local, regional, and national conferences and program consultation on such topics as curriculum transformation, active learning strategies, and evaluation methods. She has delivered over 2,000 of these presentations in all 50 states during the past 10 years.

She founded the international Boot Camp for Nurse Educators® conference, a valuable educational experience that provides an opportunity for both novice and seasoned faculty to learn about current best practices in nursing education.

In 2007, Iggy was inducted into the prestigious Academy of Nursing Education (ANEF) in recognition of her national contributions to the field of nursing education.
