Julie Omsberg

MSN, RN, APRN

“I strive to help [students] with stress and frustration as they work to learn the strategies needed to pass the NCLEX.”

Julie Omsberg is one of the original HESI Compass coaches as well as a adjunct professor at Southern New Hampshire University. She has been a Registered Nurse for over 30 years. Her early professional life was in San Francisco working as a pediatric and neonatal ICU nurse. She moved to Maine to raise her children and became a Certified School Nurse. She returned to school and got an MSN in Nursing Education (via an online program) to begin a teaching career. She worked with students as a professor in hybrid programs teaching clinicals, running simulations, teaching online and rewriting curriculums for Purdue Global and Southern New Hampshire University.

With over ten years working with nursing students, Julie has found her passion coaching students online to get to the finish line as a HESI Compass coach. Her goal is to have each student pass their NCLEX® licensure exam on their very first try.
