Mamta Shah

Dr. Mamta Shah is a Senior Learning Scientist at Elsevier, where she leads a collaborative program of research on examining the effectiveness of digital learning solutions for nursing and health education. She is also an instructor in the Graduate School of Education at University of Pennsylvania and a Faculty Fellow at the Penn Center for Learning Analytics. Formerly, she was a postdoctoral scholar in the Games and Learning in Interactive Digital Environments (GLIDE) lab at Drexel University.
For over a decade, Dr. Shah has researched the design and integration of interactive digital environments such as games and virtual realities to advance students’ knowledge and motivation. She has worked with educators across the PreK-16 spectrum to incorporate the cognitive, pedagogical, and experiential affordances of educational technologies in a variety of formal and informal settings.
Dr. Shah holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Learning Technologies from Drexel University, an M.S. in Educational Psychology- Learning Analytics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and an M.S. in Human Development from University of Mumbai.
