Mamta Shah

PhD

Dr. Mamta Shah is a Learning Scientist at Elsevier, where she conducts research to support effective learning solutions and outcomes for nursing and health education. She is also an instructor in the Graduate School of Education at University of Pennsylvania. Formerly, she was a postdoctoral scholar in the Games and Learning in Interactive Digital Environments (GLIDE) lab at Drexel University.

For over a decade, Dr. Shah has researched the design and integration of interactive digital environments such as games and virtual realities to advance students’ knowledge and motivation. She has worked with educators across the PreK-16 spectrum to incorporate the cognitive, pedagogical, and experiential affordances of educational technologies in a variety of formal and informal settings.

Dr. Shah holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Learning Technologies from Drexel University, and an M.S. in Human Development from University of Mumbai. She is currently pursuing an M.S. in Educational Psychology with an emphasis on Learning Analytics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
