Coronavirus Support & Remote Teaching Resources

As the world continues to take precautionary measures to prevent the further spread of coronavirus, we understand that the switch to teaching remotely may be outside of many instructors’ comfort zones. With such a rapid shift in the way courses are being conducted, it could be easy to feel overwhelmed.

Elsevier is here to help. We’ve created this coronavirus support center for nursing and healthcare educators that offers the latest strategies, resources, and information to help you adapt your curriculum and deliver course materials remotely in response to campus and clinical site closures.

Digital tools to optimize your online classroom

Skills traditionally learned in the clinical setting don’t always translate well online. When you don’t have the time or capacity to write scenarios or develop case studies to teach students, it makes the transition that much harder. With Elsevier solutions, educators can continue giving students what they need to develop essential critical thinking for a successful future. Learn how schools found ways to transition online with digital tools during the most challenging times.

“Every single student is going to go in and do that exact same scenario, so every student is going to have that defined experience.”

Remote Proctoring through HESI

As colleges and universities continue the shift to a remote model, we recognize the effect it may have on the ability to administer secure assessments. In response, Elsevier has streamlined a solution for delivering remotely proctored HESI exams. Our continuing goal is to equip and support educators in administering the assessments that are so vital to developing well prepared future nurses. We sincerely hope this offering helps alleviate concerns surrounding exam day logistics amid this new reality.
